Apple Cinnamon Rolled Oats Oatmeal

Here's a new take on your morning oatmeal. This morning, I made Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal that tasted just like apple pie! It was so easy to make and so yummy.

Here's what you need:
2 apples - peeled and cubed
1 cup rolled oats
2 cups water
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1+ TBS of maple syrup to taste
salt to taste

What you do:
Boil your water. Add your apple chunks. Add your rolled oats. Return to boil. Bring down to a simmer. Once most of the liquid is absorbed and the oats are softened, add your cinnamon, maple syrup, and salt. Enjoy!

Makes 2-3 bowls.

I used Gala apples because that is what I had on hand. You could use any apple you like!

I chopped them into cubes.

You could even add a little maple syrup on top if you like!

  2. I think I'm going to have to try this for my fiance. He loves apple pie but isn't too big on oatmeal. Hopefully he'll like it! Perfect for apple season, too! :)
