We are always looking for new apps and I try to stick to the educational ones as best I can. I like to have a few on my iPhone at all times to entertain the little guy in certain situations when we are out and about. Today, I got a chance to review several FREE ones from Kids Academy. Free is always good, too.
This is a simple, perfect app for preschoolers and little kids. It has the upper and lower case alphabet pages where it simply speaks ands shows the letter with something that stars with the letter. It also has numbers and letter tracing. The tracing is easy, unlike some apps and it gives you the opportunity to do it without help. Nice, easy app for learning to write.
This app has the alphabet tracing which works very easily, unlike some apps we've tried. It also has mazes which are simple for a little kid to do. There is a third game which also has mazes but the object is to find the matching word. This is a little trickier for the little kid to get right, but it will definitely help with learning the rhyming concept.
Cute app where you can learn the bingo song. This is perfect to entertain a baby or a toddler for a short period of time. Have them spelling their first word B-I-N-G-O! It has nice graphics and animation to make it interesting. The full version has karaoke and other games. The free version is just the song.
