San Diego Zoo Safari Park Day in November

Today was another one of our fun Mommy and Son dates at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. November is a lovely time of the year to visit. The weather is nice. It's not too warm, but not at all cold, here. Plus, it isn't crowded at all, at least on a Monday.

Today we got to get pretty close to this fascinating fossa from Madagascar in one of the Animal Encounters.

He was having a great time attacking the rubber ball on a string. Apparently allow him to go for runs around the park and exercise his natural hunting instincts with the ball.

We also headed back to the Tiger Trail, today, and spent a lot of time at the playground since we were with a friend who wasn't into it, last time.

This is a fun little playground and helps the kiddo exercise his natural instincts to climb and play! He also exercised his natural instinct to dominate all the other kids around him. Although I respect his aspirations to become King of the Jungle, this dominant male behavior makes me wonder if there is a vacancy in the monkey exhibit...

So I took my tiny tiger and headed to the other side of the park to go on the tram.

This is a great place to get off your feet for a little bit, have a little snack, and just see all the beautiful animals and scenery.

They have one of the last Northern White Rhinos in the world, here. Thanks a lot, poachers, and everyone who ever bought anything that came from a rhino. I'm sure y'all are reading my blog right now, so yeah, you guys totally ruined it for everyone.

At least there's plenty of giraffes out here!

We got a decent view of Momma Cheetah and her cubs playing from the tram.

We also had another great Animal Encounter with this cool little bird, pecking food out of all his little toys. What a good-looking little guy!

It was another fun day with lots of exercise. The hills in this zoo are getting a little tricky to navigate for this 5.5 months preggo. I will sleep well, tonight!
