Knott's Berry Farm in July with Vegans, Toddler, Baby, and Beer

I can't believe we've been sitting on these Knott's Berry Farm season passes since Halloween. HALLOWEEN! In my defense, I just wasn't feeling the long walks around theme parks when I was pregnant last year. I know it's July and theme parks are jam packed all over, but we have been itching to make a day trip up to Camp Snoopy with the fam. So glad we did because it reminded us about all the reasons we love this place.

THEY HAVE BEER. Knott's Berry Farm has ice cold draft beer in the Calico Saloon in the Ghost Town. It is HOT here in the summer and crowds, heat, rides, and kids are so much more fun after a beer. The beer isn't just in a place, far far away from the really frustrating bottlenecks and long lines like Disneyland (have to go to California Adventure for beer) and LEGOLAND (SeaLife is where it's at). It's at the edge of Ghost Town, easy to get to, and you can walk the park with it.

Speaking of CAMP SNOOPY... this is another reason we love this place. All little kid rides are in one place in this genius area. They aren't the elaborately themed Disney rides but the lines are super short on weekdays in the summer and the little ones can go on by THEMSELVES, while you enjoy your beer and sweat profusely. Did I mention it is HOT here in the summer?!

I thought he was going to cry, or throw up on this ride. (second to the left)

He was absolutely terrified when he locked eyes with my lens and I felt awful! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at that face! I did both and snapped a ton of pictures. What else could I do???

Then he asked to go on again... Hands up and all.

VEGAN and gluten-free food is the other thing that I think is SO great about Knott's Berry Farm. They have these vegan "chicken" tenders that I want to say are Gardein. They are just perfect and animal product freeee. Weeeeeeeeeee!

Non-vegans like these, too! Choose these and feel the #noanimalsharmedvibe that feels oh so good with your animal free beer.

Meh on the vegan gluten-free pizza. I'd like to put a flour crust on it and it would be amazing. I'm sure the gluten-free folks would swap for some cheese. I feel an idea coming on here... owie.

Wooo not preggo and doing swingy spinny nausea inducing things so I can remember what it feels like again to be. Natural birth control!

Kyla finally got on a ride. If you read my Disneyland with a baby post, you'll know that this baby is quite used to watching us eat at theme parks and having none and hasn't been on many rides, yet.

Well choo choo, baby girl! Don't look so jaded. That's your brother's gig.

Oh, and they have a gem shop with FOSSILS you can buy!

Speaking of jaded or spoiled or whatever you want to call it, no visit would be complete without a stop in the Gem shop. Grammy gave the little dude a crisp $20 bill and he likes to spend his cash on fossils and such. We always make sure to let him take his time in here until he finds exactly what he wants. There are SO many cool things in here.

Then he likes to leave and cry for something else.

Who am I kidding?! There is no crying, here. He scored a red rider bb - not really but a he got a pretty sweet toy cork popping gun. It's hard to say "no" to this sweet boy.

There are so many great things about Knott's Berry Farm but the most important thing is that these two had a great time.

The only downside to this trip is the wait to get on the new Iron Reef ride was over 1.5 hours both times we went over and kids have to be able to walk to go on. Luckily these two littles don't care and we'll come back when the summer is over.
