The EASIEST Vegan Pancakes

I have a lot of pancake recipes on the blog. There are my protein-packed pancakes, pancakes with nuts, pancakes with fruit, whole wheat pancakes... all these delicious and HEALTHY pancakes. But OF COURSE one of my family's favorite pancakes are the ones my husband makes. They are simple, fluffy, old-fashioned ones, that are made with mostly white flour. Maybe they aren't the healthiest pancakes but these are the perfect weekend pancakes, the vegan IHOP style;  the kind you eat when you have a ton of ripe strawberries and real maple syrup to drench them in and you are either a vegan or you don't have eggs or milk in the house. (*you DON'T have to be a vegan to eat these!!!)

I've seen a lot of vegan pancake recipes that use a ton of plant milk but the cool thing about these pancakes is that you don't have to use any milk which can be pricey and full of ingredients you don't want in your food.

These pancakes are simply made with water, and we've cut down on the sugar so they are made with a minimal amount because you KNOW you're going to put syrup on top.

If you wanted to go even healthier, do the half cup of whole wheat flour. I would try to swap refined sugar for coconut sugar and if you wanted to go even healthier than that and if you want to go SUPER healthy, head on over to our recipes page and check out my other pancakes instead.

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup whole wheat flour (or you can just use more white)
3 Tbsp sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 Cups water
2 Tbsp organic Canola Oil
Vegan butter for the pan

Instructions:
Combine all your dry ingredients in large mixing bowl.

Add your water and Canola oil until well combined.

Heat pan on low/med and pour pancake batter on hot pan and cook until golden brown on both sides.

Bon Appetit!
