Rewards Cards - Credit Cards that Pay YOU!

I've always been a big fan of Rewards Cards, Cash Back or Cash Rebate Cards, and generally any way to get one over on the credit card company.

The trick is to make sure you are NEVER carrying a balance. If you are carrying balances on your credit cards, it is time to reasses your household budget and start putting as much money as you can towards paying off the credit card you are paying the most in interest for, first, then work your way down the line until you are credit card debt free.

After that, using the cards for all your expenses will ensure that rewards and cash back adds up!

Here are 2 of my article on everything you need to know about using cards to make and save money:

Three Secrets to Save Money on Christmas Shopping - this one is not just for Christmas shopping. It applies to ALL shopping and has tips on which credit cards to have.

Last year I made $550 with my cash back cards.
This year, I am looking at a little more, about $700 since we allowed a trustworthy family member to use our card for an emergency!

Even if you are ARE carrying a balance, you can still use this method to make money. Just MAKE SURE you are only spending what you can afford to pay off each month and not continuing to add to your revolving debt.

Tip:
Be careful - some cards have an earning limit. Stop using it when you stop earning and switch to another!

  1. Using reward points from a credit card, my husband and i were able to book a cruise to the Caribbean for free, plus used points from a another credit card to help with the airfare. It took a long time, but we had so much fun, especially knowing it cost us so little money.

    1. That is amazing! Free trips are the best kind!!! The points or cash back really can add up! Right now we are using a card that gives my hubby a higher status on airlines because he travels so much and it is so hard to get upgraded nowadays he is miserable without it!
