The LEGO Movie Experience at LEGOLAND California

We just took the little guy to his first movie. Isn't it fitting that it's The LEGO Movie?! We were extra bonus lucky that we got to see the brand new LEGO Movie Experience on display at LEGOLAND California right after. If you are in the area, and have seen this awesome movie, this display is a MUST SEE.

The display is all the models and the set from the very end of the movie, when it goes live action as opposed to animation. We absolutely loved it.

Our son is only two, so he is not actually allowed to play with our LEGO yet... but after seeing the movie, I realize that we will probably have to share with him someday...

So I've come up with a solution...

I will buy TWO of every set and hide one NIB for the grown-ups and not tell any kids about it... lol.

I bought myself 2 LEGO sets with all the characters in it, including Unikitty. One is for me, and one is for the kid. Mine will stay NIB. Off limits. Hands off.

This building looks familiar.

He found the movie characters!

All these toys that we can't play with. Hmmmmm

I love the old west display!

The model builders did a really good job designing this!

There is a lot to see, here.

I feel so lucky that we were able to see this right after the movie!

I could seriously see this being our house, someday. We have absolutely no plans, whatsoever to put a dining table in our dining table area. I'm 100% sure my husband would be on board with a LEGO city going there.

We would probably have to build a castle and medieval village, too.

I would have been crazy for this when I was a little girl.

Here's the set I bought while we were there:

YES, I bought two of them!!!

Oh and we just ordered 2 of these sets, too, because this is hubby's thing:
