We just watched A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures
on Family Movie Night and we really enjoyed it! Our son is 2 and sat through the entire adventure of Sammy and his love, Shelly, over 50 years of environmental challenges from oil spills, to plastic bags and fishing in our oceans.It is a touching tale of love and friendship with a cool soundtrack that features songs like California Dreaming and Ain't No Sunshine, that teaches environmental responsibility in a gentle way without getting too scary or at all violent. The beautiful animation and scenery kept all of our interest, and the educational aspect makes this a good choice for a toddler.We are going to watch this one a few times.
Ok for little kids? YES
Entertaining for adults? YES
Violence? NO
Scary? A little bit. Predators do come after the turtles, but the scenes are short and nobody dies.
