Move Over Peeps -- Here Come Vegan Peeps from Sweet and Sara

Just ordered my Vegan Peeps from Sweet and Sara!!! Ok, not Peeps, but Veeps. Not only are they vegan, but the food coloring is natural, too. 

Oh, in case you are a Peeps fan, sorry to break it to you, but Peeps are not food. Vegan peeps, however are! Ok, they are still sweets, and probably not very good for you... maybe just a little more food-ish than Peeps, but have you read the ingredients on Peeps?

Here is the Peeps ingredient list:

Gelatin is most likely pork derived. Gross. Yellow #5 is a no-no as are preservatives in my house. 

Here is the ingredient list in Veeps:

Ingredients: cane sugar*, corn syrup, water, corn dextrose, corn starch, carrageenan, soy protein, acacia, pure vanilla extract, sea salt, locust bean gum, confectioner’s sugar*, organic Belgian chocolate, natural yellow coloring (beta carotene, glycerine*). *vegan.

Sugar, sugar, sugar. Not quite a health food but they are definitely a huge upgrade!

So I'm going with the Veeps!!
