How to Train Your Dragon DUPLO Berk

I know I had teased it a while back, but we finally got around to finishing our DUPLO Berk, for our "How to Train Your Dragon"s. I actually "finished" it a few weeks ago, but the little guy was not happy about my rock towers. He was having more fun while we were building them and he could still play inside, so when I finished, he tore them down and played HIS way.

I felt like the dad in "The LEGO Movie." I seriously got annoyed and tried to distract my kid and talk him out of messing up my creation while I rebuilt my towers but he just came back and tore them down again while telling me off.

Soooo, I came up with a Plan B. I would rebuild, but this time, I would add caves to the towers. He gave his input, demanding a door on one of the caves, and I obliged and built one in.

I did have to quickly rebuild to take this picture because his large Action Dragon flew by and crashed my brown Viking house to pieces. I don't know how long Berk will last, or how long it will provide entertainment for Hurricane Toddler, but we had a good time playing together, and I like how it turned out!

Here yous can see my cave at the bottom of the tower on the lower left. If we had a lot more grey, we would have used grey for these sections, but we only have a little grey. Grammy was collecting a DUPLO set with trans light blue DUPLO flowers a while back for herself, that we used on our wedding cake, a while back, so we ended up with a lot of white DUPLO. It snows a lot in Berk, so this was fine by us.
