I LOVE garlic. Unlike most people, I'm guessing, I even like the smell on my fingers that lingers for a few days after I painstaking chopped it up by hand. The only thing I don't like is chopping it up, painstakingly, by hand. I don't even like to do it in my food processor because it is this big ordeal to pull the whole thing out, peel all the garlic, chop it, scrape it out, clean the whole darn thing...

Garlic - I love you, but you are a pain to deal with.

Finally, I was given a chance to review a Priority Chef Premium Garlic Press, and my relationship with garlic has changed forever.

The Priority Chef Premium Garlic Press is an attractive kitchen gadget. It is made out of 18/10 SS304 glistening stainless steel. It has two loops at the end of the handle, so if you are one of those tool hanging types who needs garlic at your fingertips constantly, you could hang it up for easy access.

Now, for using the garlic press... You will be pleased to find that you don't need to peel the garlic! You can put several pieces of UNPEELED garlic in your press (no smelly fingers for those that don't find it intoxicating like I do) and squeeze. Beautiful, robust garlic, ready to use garlic pops out of the press.

I only needed a little bit for my recipe. You can put a few cloves in or just one. It works great either way.

Cleaning the garlic press is just as easy. You remove the skins by hand. They are mostly in-tact so this is not difficult at all. A little rinsing and brushing with a dish brush cleans any residue from the tiny holes the garlic is pushed through. ALSO, because it is made of the stainless steel material, you can put the garlic press in the dishwasher.

I love using garlic in my food and this garlic press makes it so much easier than I ever imagined. It was easy to press the cloves, easy to clean, and it make a wonderful paste that could be mixed right into sauces, spread onto buttered bread for garlic bread, or used in pretty much any recipe that calls for garlic in a minced or chopped consistency.

My lazy butt will no longer have to use the dry garlic powder or buy the pre-minced stuff in a jar with this handy gadget as a part of my kitchen supplies and maybe now, I can focus on getting the recipe right instead of turning this problematic paper covered garlic bulb into something edible.

The Priority Chef Garlic Press and Mincer is available on Amazon.com:

** I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
