Review - BOX4BLOX Toy Organizer

In case this is your first time visiting our blog, and or you just haven't noticed, yet, we are a LEGO family. My husband and I were both REAL Master Model Builders at LEGOLAND California (that is where we met). We have a lot of our own LEGO and now we are starting to collect LEGO for our son and soon to be daughter.

I was so excited to be given the opportunity to review the BOX4BLOX organizer because up until now, we were storing the little guys "big boy" LEGO in a mixed bin.

He was really getting into the smaller pieces and enjoying making weapons for his minifigures. I gave a big eye roll at the whole weapons thing, but I guess that is how it goes with kids and building toys... they build what they feel like building and it is much better and more beneficial for them than watching television.

The tough thing was that all these little pieces he was searching for, like spears, cylinders, nose cones, teeth, light sabers were falling to the bottom of our old bin and he could not get to them. He would do the dreaded dump, where the bin is turned upside down and the crash of pieces is heard around the world. We just needed a better way to organize these pieces so he could be as creative as possible, learning through play, and using his imagination...

Fortunately, BOX4BLOX is a very unique storage bin which sorts all the smaller pieces into the bottom bin instead of allowing them to hide deeply in a mixed bin and you may never hear the big crash again!

BOX4BLOX works like a coin sorter in that it has larger holes in the top bin that sifts smaller pieces down into the next bin, which has even smaller holes. There are 4 bins, total, which all snap together on top of one another, and a lid. The bottom bin catches all the smallest pieces. THIS bin is where all my little guy's tiny pieces end up, making it much easier for him to build whatever his heart desires without making a huge mess.

I'm really happy we got this box and finally got rid of the big mixed bin. This is a great product for anyone who likes to keep their LEGO or any other building or crafting toy organized. I can even see it being used as a sifter when you are dealing with a large amount of LEGO that you just want to separate quickly. This may have come in really handy when I was building out of blocks for a living. We never had anything like this and used to sort everything by hand when we were done with a design project IF we had time.
