Countdown to Baby

I don't know if you noticed, but we have a new tab on the top of the blog called "Countdown to Baby." I thought I'd give you all the first update and get the excitement rolling in the New Year to let you know what the "Countdown" is all about!

*NEWS FLASH*

In case you haven't noticed with our subtle, or not so subtle hints, we have a little girl due on March 2nd 2015. This will be our second baby. Our first just turned 3 and my husband, son, and I are anxiously anticipating the new arrival.

So far, the pregnancy has gone quite well, aside from a first tri-mester of all day nausea, and a fussy sciatic nerve that gives me a good pinching every time I use my upper body too much to do anything.

I think I'm most proud of the fact that my iron levels are very comfortably sitting in the normal range. We eat a vegetarian diet and have been leaning very much more on the vegan side this year. During my first pregnancy I had to supplement with iron, but the last few years as a SAHM has left me with a lot of time to read up on food, health, and nutrition and it has paid off! Feeling healthier than ever, I have a lot to get done and get ready for in the next two months!

WHAT's GOING ON on the BLOG?

I have lists to make, a room to decorate, cloth diapers to buy, and so many things to do to get ready for the baby. I'm going to share all of that in blog posts, social media updates, and Instagram pictures. I'm going to be adding a lot of reviews for things we buy, and doing my FAVORITE thing... GIVEAWAYS, all pertaining to Mom-to-be, baby-on-the-way, and newborns, on top of our normal giveaways for cash and other prizes.

I'm going to keep our Countdown to Baby page updated with all the news and an Instagram feed so you can follow along. Wish us luck and a smooth delivery of a healthy baby!!!
