We love camping and just bought a small RV last year to make it easier for our family to get out into nature and the great outdoors. Besides hiking, cooking over a campfire, and spending time with family, one of the most fun things is all the cool gear you get to bring along on family trips, which is why I jumped at the chance to review this cute little Orion LED Lantern.
I figured we could always use another camping lantern, especially one that didn't rely on gas power or solely on disposable batteries. What I didn't realize was that my husband would fall in love with this lantern and how it would become so majorly important to him on an everyday basis, not as a camp or survival tool, but as a way for him to enjoy the patio each night with his tablet.
The Orion Ultimate Survival LED Lantern and Power Bank by Supernova is a small lantern but packs a huge punch with its amazingly bright LED lantern. It is an 180 Max Lumens Lantern which has a high mode, which is extremely bright, a low mode for a less bright lantern, and also red night vision, and flashing red for emergencies.
The lantern slides open and closed which also turns the lantern on and off and allows you to control the brightness of each mode depending on how open it is. The lantern is already small, but when it is in its closed position, it us ultra compact.
Besides the lighting features and small size of the Orion Lantern, I think the greatest thing about this lantern, and my husband would agree, is that is is rechargeable. You can run the lantern on 3 AA batteries that go in the top or 2 lithium ion batteries that are housed in the bottom.
Even better, the lantern can charge other devices like phones and tables with its power using a USB slot and cable down at the base.
