Hydracentials Water Bottle Review

*I recieved this water bottle free of charge in order to facilitate this unbiased review.

I have been refilling stainless steel water bottles for years. They are really starting to show their wear so I was on the lookout for new ones. This time I wanted an insulated bottle, instead of the slip on sleeve I'd been using. Hydrancentials was kind enough to send me their 16 oz. double wall insulated stainless steel bottle for review.

The Hydracentials water bottle is nice looking, insulates the drink inside for at least the entire day that I had it out. The bottle has a nice design, comes in pretty colors - pink, blue, and white. It has a retractable sports cap. The sports cap comes with two interchangeable straws. The bottom of the bottle has a skid-proof rubber pad. The company recommends washing by hand only.

What I like about the bottle:
It is an attractive bottle. The blue paint is very sharp looking. The stainless steel is so much better for you than drinking out of a plastic bottle. It keeps water very cold. It holds 16 oz. of water. It is BPA Free. The cap fits snugly with a gasket and it doesn't leak.

What I don't like about the bottle:
I really feel like putting it in the dishwasher. We're pretty lazy with the handwashing around here but if you are just using it for water, it shouldn't get to dirty. The plastic top is make of that very hard plastic. I'm afraid that if I dropped it on a rock, hiking, it would crack.

This bottle was a great value, overall. It keeps water cold, without leaking, the sports cap works well, and it is nice looking.

  5. I've only ever used plastic. Perhaps it's time for a change! Although I wonder how adding fruit to my water would react with the steel?

  9. This Hydracentials bottle is nice!!! I could use one of these! I am always refilling my sport water bottle that's plastic. I like this plastic bottle because of the sport cap. But, the Hydracentials bottle would look nicer on the table beside me...rather than a raggedy plastic bottle!
