MommyOnTheMoney.com becomes The Right-On Mom Blog Re-launch Giveaway

Some of you might still be around from when I started this blog in 2011. I was MommyOnTheMoney and I had started the blog immediately after my first child was born to post about how my family would survive on only 1 income. I had been laid off from my job at 7 months pregnant. We had a brand new house, hefty mortgage and now we had another person to care for. I was a little scared but I had been blogging for 6-7 years on Brick-Star.com and it had become a passion of mine while I was working at a huge theme park company back when blogging had just gone mainstream. I hoped blogging would turn into a full time income. It didn't but at least it turned into something...

I was posting the deals we found on all of our food, clothing, and activities, creating recipes, doing DIY projects and crafts... I started sharing everything we did on the blog it wasn't just about money.

Along the way, I had also switched from a vegetarian diet to a vegan diet. I started blogging about that too.

What had started out as a survival blog turned into a lifestyle blog and a passion of mine.

We now have 2 amazing children. We just returned back to California from Japan.

It is safe to say that the name "Mommy on the Money" just did not fit the vegan, family, travel, giveaways, toy reviews, and everything else that was going on on my blog..

I started using @RightOnMom on various social media because it jived with my blog name in the expression "Right on the money" which means "exactly right". I am not always right... but it felt right.

The expression "right-on" is defined as: in keeping with fashionable liberal or left-wing opinions and values or used an expression of strong support, approval, or encouragement.

I like both encouraging my family and fellow humans to do the right thing(s). And I consider myself a fashionable liberal, well maybe more of a passionate progressive...

I think new name of this blog, The Right-On Mom, mostly suits me because it embodies our core values. I'm not perfect, I'm not always right. But I try my best to do the right thing most of the time even if I have to keep changing it up and evolving. I'm happy to share what I buy, eat, make, do with all of you.

The food is vegan, the tips and travel are fun, and we keep it kind by featuring products and a lifestyle where no animals or people are harmed. We will still share awesome deals and killer coupons from time to time and we have a vegan coupons page if you are here to save money.

Anyway, the point of this post is that I want to introduce/re-introduce all of you to my blog. Let you all know that it is still me behind it all and I hope you stick around and enjoy TheRightOnMom.com!
