As a big fan of the Ravensburger brand, which is known for its high quality and responsible manufacturing, and a fan of the Harry Potter book and movie franchise, we were really excited about Pictopia the Harry Potter Edition. When you open it up you get that Harry Potter magical feeling right away. This game features 1000 picture trivia questions with all the characters, creatures, and places you may or may not remember from the movies.
In this game sometimes you will work together with other players or answering alone. You will get a chance to wager bets before answering the questions based on your confidence and knowledge of some of the scenes. There are also guess my answer questions which will show how well you may know the other players. It takes about 30 minutes to complete the game.
As always, Ravensburger has put out a great game. The game concept is one that has been tried and true for the brand as they have used the format in the past. Rebranded with the Harry Potter films, this game is for those that have seen all the movies, the more the better and know the scenes well in order to win.
The game is made well and the game board and pieces are good quality that will withstand repeated play. The answer dials, wagering chips, and board are good, thick quality, and the trivia cards are large and colorful.
This is a great game for Harry Potter fans and would make a great gift.
