Dad's Nacho Sprinkle - Cheezy Vegan Topping

Somehow, when it comes to food, my husband, the vegan top chef wannabe always seems to take something someone else made and do it better. Pancakes for example. Mine may be healthier, but his are fluffier and are a bigger hit with the kids. Now this. He took Grandma's Spaghetti Sprinkle recipe, which we all like, made it nacho and now there's cheeze topping going on everything!

We've already used Dad's Nacho Sprinkle it on our Vegan Sunflower Mac n Cheese, stuffed shells, on beans and rice... I thought it would be a great thing to share if you are looking to add a healthy smoky cheesiness to your favorite plant based or kid-friendly dish!

This recipe is so easy. Can you imagine getting a burst of nacho flavor from these 4 simple pantry ingredients?! If you are out of walnuts you can use CASHEWS! Out of Cashews? I'd like to give almonds or macadamia nuts a try...

The smoked paprika, a hint of salt and the cheesiness and added vitamins in the nutritional yeast make this an easy, tasty, nutrient rich topping that is great for kiddos.

*Our favorite Nutritional Yeast Brand is Hoosier Hill Farm and you can get it on Amazon. We were happy to find that 2 tablespoons has 1460% of the recommended daily value for B12 as well as a bunch of other vitamins. It's a little strange because the company doesn't print this information on its packaging but it is on their website.  We also like Sari Foods Nutritional Yeast. There are other brands we've tried and do NOT like so I thought it would be important to note.

Something smells tasty...

Making some demands over this bowl of cheesiness...

Sprinkle Dad's Nacho Sprinkle can go on all different foods. I dipped some broccoli florets in it and just stuffed them in my mouth with the kids.

Here it is on our Sunflower Mac and Cheese and broccoli.

Here's how to make it...
