I Heart Keenwah Yummy Yummy Crunch Crunch

Do you "heart" quinoa? We do! I used to cook up quinoa and mix it with sweet potato and applesauce for my son when he was a baby and he loved it, too. The only problem is, I could never figure out how to say it...

This week, we got the opportunity to try out the new snacks from  i heart keenwah  As my husband said it best, they took the pretentiousness out of trying to say quinoa by spelling it phonetically. We both thought that was very clever. Another great thing about the new  i heart keenwah snack is that it turns the delicious little organically grown seeds into a crunchy, sweet and salty treat!

We were given two 4 oz. packages of  i heart keenwah to try out. One package was the almond variety, the other was chocolate sea salt. They were both yummy! i heart keenwah actually comes in 4 flavors: chocolate sea salt, cranberry cashew, almond, and ginger peanut.

What was fun, and cute about these little snacks, is that they come pre-cut into small squares. The main benefit of the small bite-size is that they take the mess out of eating a crunchy treat because they are small enough to pop into your mouth without biting and making crumbs all over the front of your shirt. This makes the  i heart keenwah snacks excellent for on the go.

Some of you may not mind crumbs on your beards, shirts, or in your cars. I, on the other hand, prefer to stay crumb free if possible. Most of the time, with a toddler on the loose, being crumb free is a pipe dream, but these snacks do a good job of keeping the crumbs where they belong... in my belly!

The  i heart keenwah package also sports the highly coveted notch for a pull off tab (no, you do not need a sharp object or your teeth to open the bag), plus the package is resealable, so you can eat a few, then save the rest for later.

The almond  i heart keenwah snacks were really yummy! They have the sweet, honey crunch with delicious almonds mixed in. The consistency reminds me a little of peanut brittle or even a toffee but luckily they are not loaded with sugar like those sweets.

It often amazes me how companies go so seriously overboard with sugar. These snacks have the perfect amount to satisfy my sweet tooth.

The chocolate and sea salt variety, was my favorite of the two types. I love a little bit of chocolate now and then and the touch of chocolate drizzle hit the spot.

Not only are these crunchy and sweet, but they are made of Organic Quinoa and many other organic ingredients. This is is practically a requirement to get into our cupboards, these days. We don't mess around with all the mass-marketed non-organic garbage that line the shelves in your average grocery stores. If we are going to take a chance with our health, we will take a chance to try a new food that may actually be good for you.

It is so nice to read ingredients and be able to recognize and pronounce everything on the list.  i heart keenwah ingredients are all food items! There are no preservatives, or other un-pronounceable chemicals on the list.

These snacks are not only all natural and gluten free but there is protein, calcium, and iron included, too! So if you like having a little something to snack on, with a little sweetness, a lot of crunch, a touch of salt, and is not going to pack on empty calories and sugar, check out  i heart keenwah snacks.
