Toddler Chores - Window Washing and Unloading Dishes

I've got TWO toddler chores for you, today... Let them help you unload the dishwasher. We've only broken 1 dish in the year that we've been doing this!

Washing windows is another chore that is perfect for a little kid. Especially when they are the ones that probably got peanut butter and crayon on it in the first place.

I fill my spray bottle with 10 parts water and 1 part vinegar, so it is non-toxic for the little guy.

I'll admit, I have to follow behind with a cloth and remind him to wipe a lot, but he really does do a pretty good job, has a great time, and he'll start wiping any other things I ask him too!

Don't be afraid to give your little ones a purpose with some chores, even if it takes longer, and can be a little messy. It is great for their confidence!

  1. What a great help he is! I can see this paying dividends, by doing early and starting with plastic items, you could get better help later on.

  3. awe. I love seeing little ones learning responsibility early. I like to get non toxic wipes and have my daughter wander the house to see how many door knobs or light switches she can wash. The little ones are also really good at washing base boards. they can get down where i cant while ik cheer them on!
