Review - BTipsy Lemon Squeezer

We have a lemon tree in the backyard and I LOVE to use the lemons for recipes, although I really never had a good way to squeeze lemons besides good old-fashioned hand squeezing. I saw a cooking show, once, where they said to squeeze them upside down to keep the seeds from going into your recipe. Aside from getting the lemon juice all over my hands, I always seemed to end up picking seeds out of my lemon juice or recipe.

This is why I'm so happy I got to try out the Btipsy Lemon Squeezer. I found this handy little kitchen gadget extremely easy to use and highly effective at extracting every last bit of precious juice out of my lemons without a single seed slipping through. The lemon squeezer is made out of stainless steel and is strong enough that I was able to use as much force as I could muster to squeeze my lemon with no issue.

The Btipsy Lemon Squeezer is super easy to use. You simply slice your lemon in half, place half of it rind side up in the squeezer and crush it by squeezing the two handles together. 

You get a lot of leverage from the long handles, so it is simple enough for even a wimpy person like me, who asks her husband to open every pickle jar, to juice a lemon. I had to put very little effort into crushing my lemon and would gladly squeeze a whole bunch of them for lemonade or a large batch of lemon bars using this tool.

Besides being a cinch to use and super easy to wipe clean, another great thing about this tool is that you can toss it in the dishwasher. It comes out clean and shiny and it has a handy hook if you prefer to hang it for some space saving in your kitchen. 

The Btipsy Lemon Squeezer can obviously be used for other citrus like limes, tangerines, small oranges, etc. I'm really looking forward to using it with some super sweet clementines or blood oranges to craft a signature cocktail next time we have a few friends over.

I would highly recommend everyone having a Btipsy Lemon Squeezer in their arsenal of kitchen tools, especially if you struggle with juicing citrus by hand. It makes recipes come together so much faster and extracts every last drop of juice from your fruit.
