Review - Reach It Grab It

I'm just going on 33 weeks pregnant and there are a whole bunch of activities that are getting really tricky for me to do. I have a pinched nerve in my lower back that gets really painful if I do too much bending and moving throughout the day, so picking up things off the floor has major consequences. I have a 3 year old and pets so there are plenty of toys left around, clothing, shoes, as well as food, utensils, bowls, and cups that are dropped and abandoned. I weigh my options and mentally rate the importance of every item I bend to get. Needless to say, this place is getting messy...

Luckily for me, we just got to review the Reach It Grab It. I know you've seen these before. It is a simple concept: a stick with a handle on one end and a pincher on the other. One squeeze of the trigger and the pincher closes. I cannot tell you how much easier this makes this pregnant Momma's life and the tremendous help this has been on my back. No more bending to pick up anything for me! 

Did I mention I'm on the shorter side, too? Well the Reach it Grab it is great for retrieving items that are up too high to reach without getting out a stool or ladder. One of my favorite features of this tool is that there is a rubber coating on the inside of the pinchers. This allows you to grab things that are delicate or slick like a glass from a tall shelf. This looks a little scary, doesn't it?

But it works great!

Plus, the head swivels 90 degrees so you can get to those really hard to reach places. A toy rolls under the sofa, just out of reach? No problemo. This thing is great for that, too. You will not believe all the goodies we found under there (so that was what that smell was...).

Shoe in the middle of the kitchen floor? Not a problem at all!

I highly recommend this tool for anyone who has any issue which causes them not to be able to bend down or reach things over a certain height. The Reach it Grab it works great, it is well made, and it make ordinary tasks so much easier for anyone with back problems, an injury, soreness, certain handicaps, or any number of issues. Even if you don't have an issue and just need to grab something up high or in a tight space, this thing is perfect.
